Adoption Process! Thank you so much for choosing rescue and your interest in giving a dog their happily ever after! Please follow this simple adoption process to meet the dog you are interested in!
1. Submit an application online (incomplete applications will not be processed so please make sure you fill out each section)
2. Upon approval you will be connected with the foster to set up a meet and greet.
3. At meet and greet if the dog is your perfect match you will be able to sign contract, pay adoption fee, and bring home dog same day, as long as they are 100% adoption ready!
We place dogs based on BEST FIT FOR THE ANIMAL, submitting an application for a dog does not ensure adoption as many of our dogs get multiple applications. Applications will not immediately remove a dog from our website but they will be in processing! We pride ourselves in our prompt application processing and most apps will be processed within 48 hours. Please email HEACanine@gmail.com with any questions! All emails will be returned within 24 hours!
Once you are approved your application is valid for a full year and you are set to meet any available dogs we have.
PLEASE TEXT THE RESCUE PHONE AT 970-430-1399 with the name your application is under and the dog you would like to meet/ place on hold.

While we encourage every available option for pet owners, we understand that sometimes it is in the best interest of the animal to be rehomed. HEA takes pride in providing a judgement free process. Some options include fostering while we market your dog and screen for their forever home and best fit. Additionally we may place your dog on our Foster home waitlist.
Please include pictures (of the pet you are looking to relinquish), sex, breed, behavioral information (are they dog friendly, cat friendly, potty trained, kid friendly etc.), and health information to HEACanine@gmail.com.
